Star Wars fans are hardcore, encouraged by the massive market of toys and collectibles attached to the franchise over the years. Some items were mass-produced and are only valuable in pristine condition in their original boxes.
Others never officially made it to market and could fetch you enough for a new car. Knowing which ones are worth a pretty penny can help you make money from home if you’re lucky enough to spot a valuable item. Although many are so rare, it’s unlikely we’ll get our hands on one.

Rocket Launcher Boba Fett
This highly sought-after figurine was released in 1978 as a mail-in rebate option, and only three are known to exist in like-new condition.
A toy missile launched from its backpack. The dangers it presented got it quickly pulled from production and pre-orders were adjusted to non-firing weapons before they were distributed.
In August of 2024, this became the most expensive toy ever sold when one went for $1.34 million. Its value may have increased in recent years due to the popularity of The Mandalorian television show.
Darth Vader with Double-Telescoping Lightsaber
This highly sought-after figurine was released in 1977 and features a double-telescoping lightsaber. This means the tip of the saber slides in and out of the stem, allowing it to get longer.
Because people have manufactured fakes, authenticating one is rare. An authentically carded version is currently valued at around $6,500 or above. There’s currently a Kenner Star Wars Darth Vader 12A Back for sale on eBay for $5,875.75.
Luke Skywalker with Double-Telescoping Lightsaber
The double-telescoping line of lightsabers produced more than one rare figurine, However, these were delicate, and the saber snapped frequently, so finding them in decent condition can be difficult.
One in fair condition with minor cosmetic issues is currently listed for $1,099.99 at Dallas Vintage Toys.

Obi-Wan Kenobi with Double-Telescoping Lightsaber
The third figurine in this rare and high-valued series is fan-favorite Obi-Wan Kenobi. It was crafted so early in the production process for the movie that each saber is yellow, which was the originally intended color for Obi-Wan’s weapon.
There are only around 20 believed to exist, so it’ll be hard to find. This toy raked in $76,700 in a 2017 online auction.
Death Squad Commander
The Kenner line of Star Wars collectibles has some super valuable items, including this rare Death Star Commander toy. The name of the Imperial officers irked consumers, and was considered too dark for children. The company renamed the figurines to “Star Destroyer Commanders.”
Only a few of these remain in good condition, and they are rumored to go for around $6,500. One in mint condition with a mint card is currently listed on eBay for $4,975.75.

There are only believed to be about five or six in existence. One in mint condition is currently listed on eBay for $35,000.
