Wawa is expanding to include more states in its portfolio, with the company's first store opening in Alabama this year.

The location at 7095 Cottage Hill Road in Mobile will open after Wawa's first-ever Alabama store opened in Fairhope earlier this year.

Ocala has six other locations for Wawa fans to visit when they need gas and food and around 280 Wawa stores in the Sunshine State.

Byram is getting its first Wawa at 75 Route 206 so that fans of the convenience store can pick up food and gas.

The company has almost 290 locations in New Jersey, making it the most popular state in Wawa's store portfolio.

The new location at 2691 Route 322 is much closer to home for Wawa than many of the other new stores that will be opening soon.

The store is less than a half-hour drive from the company's headquarters in nearby Media, Pennsylvania.

Like other Wawas in New Jersey, the new Piscataway location at Stelton Avenue and S. Washington Avenue owes some of its success to the company's roots in the Garden State.

Wawa started as an iron foundry in the state in 1803 before moving into dairy production and convenience stores in the 20th century.

The new West Windsor location at 3449 Brunswick Pike is already accepting job applications for the new spot.

The company is looking for customer service associates to fill roles in the new store.

Wawa reached North Carolina with its first store in the state opening in Kill Devil Hills in May to kick off the company's plans to reach markets in new states.

The company will expand with more North Carolina locations, including a new spot at 406 Halstead Road in Elizabeth City.

The expansion also includes a new location at 1450 Benvenue Road, where Rocky Mount residents can discover what makes Wawa so great.

Wawa announced in May that it plans to open 10 stores in total in 2024 in the Tar Heel State as part of its strategy to increase the convenience store's locations on the East Coast.

The location in Wilson, at the intersection of Ward Road and Nash St., is one of two stores Wawa plans to open in the city this year.

The company is always accepting job applications for the new store with locations employing around 35 associates.

The other Wilson location at 5003 Raleigh Road Parkway W. is also part of this initial wave of North Carolina openings.

The 10 stores opening this year are part of an expansion plan expected to bring 90 Wawa locations to North Carolina in the next decade, employing more than 3,000 workers once complete.

Wawa announced earlier this year that it had broken ground on its first location in central Pennsylvania.

The Middletown location at the intersection of Harrisburg Pike and Meade Road started construction on the new location in April with plans to open the spot later this year.

The spot is part of almost 1,000 locations for the convenience store company, and 770 of those locations offer gas to customers.
