In 2023, Topps began releasing special cards titled “Topps Rookie Debut Patch” featuring autographs from players and a patch they wore during their MLB debut. The patch for Pirates rookie pitcher Paul Skenes is one of the most sought-after, and just one of his other Topps rookie cards sold for $123,220 at auction.
While finding a card pack with the patch is hard, even the rookie cards alone will be worth something with a Skenes 2023 Bowman Chrome Draft Prospects Autographs Superfractor 1/1 recently sold for $80,520.
