Camping World
If you’re in the market for an RV or related services and parts, you'll want to consider a trip to Camping World. You may be able to find one closer than you think.
The retailer has been expanding in recent years with new locations across the country. The company also expanded its reach this year by acquiring new locations from other companies.
It started the year picking up three stores in Minnesota from Roth RV and recently bought seven Lazydays locations in Surprise, Arizona; Murfreesboro, Tennessee; Sturtevant, Wisconsin; Council Bluffs, Iowa; Elkhart, Indiana; Portland, Oregon; and Woodland, Washington to add to its portfolio.
Petco
Petco has increased customer access to its products through deals with other retailers. Last year, it started a program with Lowe’s to have a Petco-branded section in several of the home improvement store’s locations, and it also signed a deal to be a drop-off location for Amazon returns.
The company made changes to its executive board this year after a downturn in sales, which could lead to more changes for pet owners looking for retail locations for their needs.
Petco covers pet supplies not only for family pets but also supplies items for farm animals like horses, goats, and chickens.
Circle K
Circle K has been expanding through acquisitions and also building new locations. States like North Carolina have seen new locations open, while Wisconsin will see a huge Circle K expansion with 60 new stores planned, and upstate New York could get 40 stores.
The company is also working on a possible takeover of 7-Eleven, which could also increase the number of Circle K spots in the country if the deal is finalized.
The convenience store is one of a number of chain convenience stores that have expanded across the country in the past year. You may also see Sheetz, Buc-ee’s, or other convenience stores opening a location near you.
Get a protection plan on all your appliances
Did you know if your air conditioner stops working, your homeowner’s insurance won’t cover it? Same with plumbing, electrical issues, appliances, and more.
Whether or not you’re a new homeowner, a home warranty from Choice Home Warranty could pick up the slack where insurance falls short and protect you against surprise expenses. If a covered system in your home breaks, you can call their hotline 24/7 to get it repaired.
For a limited time, you can get your first month free with a Single Payment home warranty plan.
Casey’s General Store
Casey’s General Store, which is the third-largest convenience store in the country, announced earlier this year that it expects to have an additional 350 stores in its portfolio by the end of 2026.
The company is also continuing its plans to expand into the southeast with its recent acquisition of CEFCO Convenience Stores, with 148 locations in Texas and new locations expected to open in Alabama and Florida.
Macy’s
Macy’s is trying to pivot as malls struggle to get customers in the door, causing legacy department stores to shut down store locations that are underperforming across the country.
To combat the losses, Macy’s is opening new spots that could change how you shop in the future. These smaller stores, around one-fifth the size of an average department store, will be in shopping centers, eschewing dying malls across the country.
The company plans to open 30 additional small-format stores in 2025.

Sephora
The beauty market continues to grow, which has helped Sephora as the retailer expands to new locations.
The beauty supply giant signed a deal earlier this year with Tanger, which operates outlet malls and outdoor malls, to open new locations in cities like Charleston, South Carolina; Palm Beach, Florida; and the Phoenix area.
Sephora, which focuses on make-up and beauty products, has its own locations and branded spots in stores like Kohl’s.
Foot Locker
Foot Locker has been struggling in recent years, but new changes to its existing stores and the addition of new stores could help the retailer.
The athletic shoe retailer is reformatting locations, including its flagship store in New York City, to give shoppers a different experience. To shake up its brand, Foot Locker also plans to open a new tech hub in Dallas and move its headquarters to St. Petersburg, Florida.
Harbor Freight Tools
With Harbor Freight Tools adding new stores to its portfolio, you may be able to find a new place to get your tools.
The company has opened locations across the country throughout the year, including four new stores in November:
- Maricopa, Arizona
- Binghamton, New York
- Dallas, Texas
- Alexandria, Virginia
Harbor Freight Tools sells tools at more than 1,500 locations in the U.S., including everything from small hand tools like wrenches and hammers to larger equipment like welding tools and generators.
Tractor Supply Co.
Tractor Supply Co. announced earlier this year that it plans to pursue expanding its retail footprint with an expected 80 locations.
The company opened new stores in Tucson and the Pensacola, Florida area. Tractor Supply Co. also opened its 500th Garden Center this year with its location in Lowell, Indiana.
Tractor Supply Company is a great option for homeowners, especially those who own farms and ranches. The company sells a wide variety of products, including livestock feed and supplies, riding mowers, fencing, garden supplies, pet supplies, tools, and more for home projects.

Sprouts Farmers Market announced earlier this year that it planned to have 35 new locations open by the end of 2024.
Its recent expansion plans include new spots in cities like Phoenix, Fort Worth, and Philadelphia, where two new locations are expected to open their doors to customers who prefer more organic and fresh options than what’s typically available in grocery chains.
Bottom line
Stores are opening around the country so see if there’s a new spot you want to try at a retailer that is expanding their reach.
