Pharmacy giant Walgreens is continuing with its closures throughout 2025. The closures will continue for the next three years, totaling 1,200 locations across the U.S. Another 500 closures are scheduled for 2025, but the company won't indicate a full list of specific locations that will be impacted throughout the year.
The chain store currently has about 8,500 locations in the U.S. and reported a $3 billion loss in the fourth quarter of 2024 alone. Walgreens' leadership cites "regulatory and reimbursement pressures" for its inability to cover basic business costs.
Is one of these closures close to you? Check this list that contains a few recent closures to see if you'll have to find a new store to help you save on everyday essentials.
