OUR VIEW

The TD FlexPay Credit Card(Rates and fees), which has a $0 annual fee, is a good card to consider if you have high-interest debt you’re working on paying off. With this balance transfer card, you can transfer your existing balances from credit cards and other debt to potentially save on interest and make it a little easier to focus on repayment. It has a 0% intro APR for 18 billing cycles on balance transfers (then 18.24%, 20.24%, 23.24%, 26.24% or 28.24% (variable)).

This balance transfer period is longer than what you’ll find with some other cards, though certainly not the longest (some cards provide 0% intro APR periods of 21 months or more on balance transfers). It will also forgive your first late payment each year, which is a less common benefit for this type of card.

But although this card could be a good fit for balance transfers, you should consider other options if you want to earn rewards or need an intro APR offer on purchases. In our TD FlexPay Credit Card review, learn more about what this card gets right and what it could do better to see if it’s right for you.

Is the TD FlexPay Credit Card right for you?

You should consider the TD FlexPay Credit Card if:

  • You want an intro APR offer on balance transfers.
  • You have at least good credit.
  • You occasionally make late credit card payments and want a buffer against late fees.

In addition to these, we also like this card for current TD Bank customers. While it might not be the perfect credit card for everyone, it could be a strong option for you if you already bank with TD and would prefer the simplicity of sticking with your current institution over applying with a new bank and having to learn a new platform.

Plus, this is the best TD Bank credit card for balance transfers, and applying for a credit card with a bank where you're already a customer can sometimes increase your chances of approval.

Who this card isn't right for

If you want to earn rewards or you want an intro APR offer on purchases, the TD FlexPay Credit Card isn't the card for you. And if you can't qualify with your credit score but need a card like it, consider one of these balance transfer cards for fair credit.

Note that the TD FlexPay Credit Card doesn't have the best balance transfer offer of any card or issuer out there, but it's better than average and worth considering if you're planning to do a balance transfer.
