New Cruise Takes You to All 7 Continents (But It Comes With an Epic Price Tag)

Many seasoned travelers have a goal to visit all seven continents at some point in their lives — and achieving it usually takes years, sometimes even a lifetime. Now, a new cruise coming in 2026 from Holland America Line will offer the opportunity to visit all seven, stopping in a total of 39 countries over a 132-day cruise.

The ambitious cruise, aboard the company’s Volendam ship, won’t come cheap, though.

If you have the cash — and about four and a half months available for cruising — the voyage is an excellent opportunity to see the world. It departs from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Jan. 4, 2026, and will take cruisers on a round-trip to see some of the world’s most stunning destinations.

The cruise line’s president announced the plans this week aboard 2024’s Grand World Voyage ship. The plan is to make the 2026 cruise even more ambitious than past routes after asking guests and travel advisors what would make the perfect Grand World Voyage and taking the feedback into account for the new itinerary.

The 2026 trip will include plenty of overnight stays, longer stops at ports, and more “memorable moments” experiences — like a days-long voyage around Antarctica — throughout the trip.

The ship will stop at a total of 47 ports in 39 different countries, with several overnight calls in top destinations.

After leaving Florida, the ship will head along the coast of South America before making its way down to Antarctica. It will stop at Easter Island, a remote Polynesian island, before heading towards Australia.

From there, it will explore bucket list destinations like the Great Barrier Reef and Maldives before heading to the Mediterranean, northern Europe, and back across the Atlantic towards the U.S.

Guests will get to enjoy overnight calls in top destinations like Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Papeete, Tahiti, Singapore, and Alexandria, Egypt. There are also several late-night departures throughout the trip, which will give guests more time to explore beautiful destinations like San Juan, Puerto Rico, Rome, Italy, and Colombo, Sri Lanka.

The itinerary also includes a four-day Antarctic Experience, a stop in France’s famed wine-growing region, Bordeaux, a scenic stint along the Chilean fjords, and more.

The price tag for the cruise has not officially been announced yet, but potential cruisers should expect to be paying upwards of $25,000 for the voyage. Technically, this is a vacation that stretches across more than four months — so the Grand World Voyage will not come cheap.

While the prices have not been released, Holland America is currently selling tickets for a similar round-the-world cruise that departs in 2025 with inside cabin prices surpassing $26,000 and ocean view cabins surpassing $28,000. Suites, which offer some extra space and amenities, begin at more than $40,000 for the trip.

The 2025 cruise stretches across 133 days, so it’s fair to assume the 2026 Grand World Voyage will have similar pricing.
