The 18 Best Costcos in Florida, According to Locals

Finance Buzz surveyed more than 6,000 shoppers at Costcos across the U.S. to find out how they rated their local stores.

Respondents rated cleanliness, friendliness, stock availability, quality of samples, quantity of samples, and parking on a scale of 1-10.

So, which Costco is the best place to save money on groceries in Florida? Keep reading to find out.

The Brandon Costco scored well on cleanliness but not in other categories.

The location earned the lowest score for friendliness at 7.4 and the lowest stock score of 7.8.

Costco's Clearwater location got bogged down by the quality and quantity of its samples. It earned the lowest score for quality and the second-lowest score for quantity.

The store also received a low score for parking availability. One customer said, "Parking here is a nightmare!" while another described the parking lot as always busy.

The East Orlando Costco on University Boulevard also had issues with its quality and quantity of samples and a low parking score, sinking its final score.

Boca Raton earned decent marks for its cleanliness and stock, but it earned the second-lowest score for its parking availability with a 6.2.

"My only complaint is the parking situation," one customer said in a review. "The parking lot is oddly shaped and hard to get in and out of, so be prepared for a challenge parking when you go."

The Lantana location did OK with some metrics, such as its stock and samples. But like others on the list, its parking lot was ranked low, bringing down its overall rating.

Pompano's Costco ranked well in cleanliness, friendliness, and samples, but parking pulled its score down.

The location has the third-lowest score for parking, with a 6.6 rating.

The Costco in Melbourne was one of only four stores out of the 18 stores surveyed in Florida to get a friendliness rating under 8.

So, while it did well with ratings for cleanliness and stock availability, it wasn't so great with a 7.8 rating for friendliness.

The Fort Myers Costco on Cypress Lake Drive was one of only three stores surveyed to get a rating for its stock availability above 9 from customers.

But the overall score for Fort Myers took a big hit due to the location's parking, which earned it the lowest score on the list at 5.7.

"The parking lot situation is absolutely horrendous," according to one review of the location.

While Fort Myers had the worst parking lot score, Bradenton got the highest score in Finance Buzz's survey with a 9.1.

That high score pulled it up in the overall rankings despite some issues with lower scores for samples.

The Gate Parkway location in East Jacksonville received good marks across the board for an above-average overall ranking, particularly regarding the store's stock availability.

Naples also received good scores on most of its marks, including a top-five score for friendliness with an 8.9.

One review noted that the "staff always smiles and are helpful with questions."

Palm Beach Gardens earned good marks on cleanliness, friendliness, and stock, which helped push it higher despite one of the third-lowest scores for parking.

Its 6.6 rating for parking still wasn't enough to drag down the store overall in the Finance Buzz rankings.

Tampa's Costco on Linebaugh Avenue had a lower score for its sample quantity but ended up in a good spot in the overall rankings with its second-best rating for cleanliness.

The location scored a 9 for cleanliness, tying it for second with the Costco at Sarasota Mall.

The Costco on Gulf Center Drive in Fort Myers-Estero scored at least a rating of 8 or higher across each of the six criteria polled by Finance Buzz.

It landed in the top five overall for cleanliness, stock, quality of samples, and quantity of samples. It also had the third-best rating for parking.

Go to the Altamonte Springs Costco if you want to get the best samples in Florida.

The location scored highest in the Finance Buzz survey for both quality of samples and quantity of samples.

Costco's Altamonte Springs also picked up the second-best score for stock.

Head to Sarasota Mall to check out one of the best Costcos in Florida.

The location didn't top any of the metrics in the Finance Buzz survey, but it got close. The location earned the second-best rating for cleanliness and tied for the second-best rating for friendliness.

It also made the top five best locations for parking.

Check out the Costco on Parramore Road in West Jacksonville if you want to be greeted by friendly staff when you shop.

The location earned a 9.3 rating for friendliness, making it the most friendly Florida location of those surveyed by Finance Buzz.

"The employees are super helpful and friendly," one customer said in a review, while another said every employee there is friendly and professional.

Shoppers gave the Coral Springs store the highest marks for cleanliness at 9.5 and stock with a 9.3 rating.

"They always have everything in stock," according to one review. "This location may not be the biggest, but very rarely do I not find what I need."
