As online banking becomes increasingly popular, more banks are shutting down their physical branches — recently, 79 more banks across 22 states have closed for good.
Chase Bank closed the most branches, shutting down 18 of them. Meanwhile, Wells Fargo is shuttering 17 locations, and Bank of America will close 16. Other banks affected include branches from BankUnited, BMO Bank, Citizens Bank, and Inwood NB.
