McDonald's: McValue Meal Deal
The new McValue menu offers $4 breakfast meal deals that include a sausage McMuffin (or biscuit), hashbrowns, and a small coffee. Lunch and dinner meal deals are $5 and include either a McChicken or McDouble, 4-piece McNuggets, small fries, and a small soft drink.
Chicken nuggets ordered on their own cost $2.59, and the McChicken is $3.29, so
the savings are already there before adding in the small fries and drink.
Wendy's: Biggie Deals
This year, Wendy's has rolled out a refreshed Biggie Deals menu, expanding the price points available. The lowest price point is $4 for a Biggie Bites, which allows customers to choose two items, including a Jr. Cheeseburger, Crispy Chicken Sandwich, 4-piece Chicken Nuggets, Jr. Natural-Cut Fries, Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, or a small soft drink.
A Crispy Chicken Sandwich is $2.99 individually, and Jr.-sized fries are $2.19, so the Biggie Bites deal is already shaving over a dollar off the price, and even more if you double up on the burgers instead of getting a side of fries.
Popeyes: Big Box and Family Meal
The popular budget menu with a $6 Big Box has returned to Popeyes this summer, offering customers their choice of two pieces of signature chicken, two sides, and a biscuit. An alternative but equally priced Big Box offers three pieces of classic tenders along with two sides and a biscuit.
If you're feeding a group, there are also two family meal deals available for $20 that include either nine signature chicken pieces or 11 tenders, one large side, and four biscuits. Even Redditors are excited about these prices, with posts exclaiming "$6 Big Box is the best special in the game right now".

Taco Bell: Luxe Boxes
The Luxe Cravings Box became a quick favorite for hungry customers, packing the most food at the biggest savings into a value meal — and now it's got a new twist.
This year, Taco Bell refreshed its menu and added $3 Luxe Value items, in addition to the original Cravings Box.
There are several Luxe Boxes from which to choose, but the Build-Your-Own allows customers to pick a Crunchwrap, Chalupa Supreme, Cheesy Gordita Crunch, Beefy 5-Layer Burrito, or Cheese Quesadilla for the specialty, in addition to a taco or burrito, a side, and a fountain drink for $7.69.
Burger King: Duo and Trio Deal
The royal patriarch of burgers did away with their $5 Your Way Meal, but fear not, because the replacement is even more customizable.
The newest limited-time offer is the $6 "Duo" and allows customers to choose any two items from a large Freeze King, medium soft drink, medium fries, 8-piece chicken fries, Whopper Jr., Original chicken sandwich, or a bacon cheeseburger.
Hungrier than that? Upgrade the Duo to a Trio and get your choice of three items for just $8. Buying an Original Chicken Sandwich individually costs over $6, so the new Duo deal is basically making the second item free.
Little Caesars: Mix-N-Match Deal
The pizza chain with the Crazy Bread is making a comeback by offering a consistently cheap but good pizza. Their Mix-N-Match deal offers customers their choice of several items for $5.99 each, with a maximum of five items. The items include several large classic pizzas with various toppings, Slices-N-Stix, pretzel crust pizzas, and wings.
Just eating for one? The Crazy Puffs are $4 for four hand-held pizza cups, which are perfectly sized for a meal on the go. A single large cheese pizza with no toppings is $16.49 from Papa John's, and that's enough to send people running back to Little Caesars.
Subway: 6" Deli Faves
The sandwich chain that will never live down the $5 Footlong has dropped their first ever Value Menu that gives customers the choice of 15 different entrees all priced under $5.
The 6" clubs are fully customizable, and every day there is a rotating Meal of the Day for $6.99 that adds a small drink and chips or two cookies to sweeten the deal.
Customers have been complaining about sticker shock at Subway for years, taking to social media sites like Reddit to share the outrageous prices. "I went to Subway today for the first time in quite a while and got a foot-long veggie meal deal. The price was $16.83. Blown away at what a stunning overreach it is," said one Redditor.
The new value deals offer customers quick and easy choices for a healthy and filling meal, and some options are only $4.
Bottom line
Consumers are looking to maximize every dollar spent, in an attempt to tackle rising grocery costs while still being able to enjoy the convenience of grabbing food that's ready to eat.
There is a push to stay home and eat, but preparing three meals a day is an unreasonable burden for many on top of working and other daily responsibilities.
Grabbing nourishment from restaurants and fast food establishments shouldn't break the bank, and overpriced chains are having to adjust to that reality for their customer base to be able to afford their wares. Take advantage of the best deals out there, as they are often seasonal.
