Runner-Up: Angie's Chicka Pop Strawberry Almond and Cream Bars

angies chicka pop strawberry almond and cream bars

Price: $9.97

Yes, you know Angie's Boom Chicka for the brand's popcorn products. But did you also know the company makes frozen treats?

This runner-up is a sweet strawberry dream. The almond and fruit blend has the perfect balance, making the 100-calorie bars a fan favorite. Snag this 15-bar bulk buy box for under $10 right now.

Runner-Up: Häagen-Dazs Mini Cookie Crumble Bars

haagen dazs mini cookie crumble bars

Price: $11.69

When I'm not in the mood for a full-sized dessert, I reach for one of these minis.

Dreamy ice cream dipped in decadent milk chocolate mixed with cookie crunch pieces? Yes, please. These summertime treats are not the same plain frozen bars you remember eating as a child. Instead, the popular brand is back with these sophisticatedly sweet indulgences.

Runner-Up: Melona Fruit Bars

melona fruit bars

Price: $12.99

Why did these seemingly basic bars make my list of favorite frozen treats? The 24-count of melon, mango, and strawberry flavors is light, bright, and perfect on a hot summer day. And with 130 calories each, I don't feel weighed down by this chilly sweet.

Runner-Up: Kirkland Signature Ice Cream Bars

ice cream bars

Price: $10.99

Healthy Choice's organic option isn't the only chocolatey bar that I enjoy. These Costco private-label line treats are also contenders. The sweet, crunchy, nutty Häagen-Dazs dupes have an almost identical taste and texture to the real deal. But you won't have to pay more for this score.

Get 18 of the Kirkland Signature treats for $10.99. Target sells three of the brand-name Vanilla and Almond Ice Cream Bars for $4.89.

Shopping pro tip: This month's best deals

January is here, bringing fresh starts, clean slates, and a renewed focus on routines. As the new year kicks off, so do savings, making it the perfect time to reset your space and budget with smart seasonal buys. Look for deals on:

  • Fitness gear, wellness products, and activewear
  • Home organization essentials
  • Cold-weather basics, like coats, boots, and cozy layers
  • For grocery savings, look for seasonal produce, including citrus fruits, leafy greens, and root vegetables

With post-holiday markdowns and a shift toward fresh priorities, January is a great time to shop smart, stock up, and set the tone for a well-prepped year ahead.

Runner-Up: Tru Fru Nature's Strawberries

natures strawberries

Price: $11.99

You don't need cookies and cakes to satisfy your sweet tooth. Sometimes, something as simple as a strawberry will do. That is, if it's coated with white and milk chocolate.

I find the frozen fruit a refreshing alternative to heavy desserts. And, it looks like other shoppers agree. Redditor Icantevenicantodd85 raved, "These are phenomenal…it's a sweet treat I don't feel horrible about indulging in."

Runner-Up: Johnny Pops Star-Spangled Flag

star spangled flag

Price: $12.49

I'm always on the lookout for themed holiday treats. And these star-spangled sweets are a tasty (and aesthetic) addition to my summertime backyard barbecues. Instead of over-the-top desserts with cartoonish patterns and packaging, these pops take a more refined approach.

The simple stripes and patriotic palette are what drew me in. But of course, that's not all. This frosty find is vegan, gluten-free, and only contains 50 calories per serving.

Runner-Up: HC Organic Fudge Bars

organic fudge bars

Price: $11.99

Why did these "healthy" bars make my list of frozen favorites? It's all about the rich, fudgy taste. This 100-calorie treat is 10/10 for flavor and texture. And then there's the cost savings.

Score an 18-count box for $11.99. Other brands typically cost much more. I spotted a four-pack of Yasso Chocolate Fudge Frozen Greek Yogurt Bars for $5.29 at Target. In a price-per-bar comparison, Costco comes out on top ($0.67 versus $1.32).

Runner-Up: Island Way Sorbet

island way sorbet

Price: $15.99

I absolutely adore these sorbet snacks for so many reasons. Maybe it's the mouthwatering variety of coconut, red berry/ruby grapefruit, mango, and pomegranate flavors, maybe it's the low calories (between 70 and 170 per serving), or maybe it's the real fruit shells. Or, maybe it's the combination of all three.

Nab a 12-count of these adorable frozen fruit cups for $15.99 at Costco. You'll pay more for this brand-name buy at other stores. For reference, Target sells a smaller pack of 10 for $16.49.

Runner-Up: Nightingale Strawberry Shortcake

strawberry shortcake

Price: $19.99

The second-place title goes to these handcrafted frozen sandwiches. What makes the "chomps" champs? The tasty treat features crispy, golden-baked brown sugar cookies and refreshingly tangy, smooth strawberry ice cream.

Even though the $19.99 price tag (for 18) may seem high for the warehouse club, it's a steal compared to what other stores charge. Local grocery chain Kroger's sells a four-count for $6.99. At this price, you would pay over $31 for Costco's quantity.

Quick tips: How to save on your grocery bill

Grocery shopping doesn't have to break the bank when you use the right strategies. Here are three quick tips for reducing food expenses:

  • Buy store brands instead of name brands whenever possible.
  • Always make sure to compare unit prices, not just sticker prices.
  • Join your store's loyalty program so you don’t miss out on member discounts.

Even though something like choosing coupons in your grocery store app can feel like an annoying task, the savings can really add up.

Best: La Menorquina Chocolate Honeycomb Sandwiches

chocolate honeycomb sandwiches

Price: $14.99

And the winner is…these decadent, delicious honeycomb sandwiches. The must-have treat features luxurious caramel ice cream infused with sweet sugar bits sandwiched between two crunchy speculoos biscuits and dipped (halfway) into chocolate.

Even shoppers who aren't into creamy frozen treats enjoy this gourmet goodie. Costco Redditor Momtomanyarrows noted, "I don't really like ice cream sandwiches, but this one was good."

Bottom line

While these icy indulgences are some of my favorites in the freezer section, they aren't the only deals I spotted at Costco. I can save money on groceries and get the season's top sweet treats, as well as find great deals on every aisle, from the bakery to apparel and home goods products.
