Update: JetBlue’s partnership with Amazon was considerably scaled back on March 27, 2018, and purchases made through the JetBlue Amazon shopping portal no longer earn JetBlue points. Not all is lost though – you can still earn 3x JetBlue points per dollar spent when making Amazon purchases if you’re onboard a JetBlue flight and connected to the carrier’s free Fly-Fi Wi-Fi.
Plus, there are still plenty of ways to save money on Amazon. And the most powerful ways to save money on Amazon also allow you to save money elsewhere. For example, you could use one of the best credit cards for shopping on Amazon or you could keep a card handy that's considered one of the best credit cards for online shopping in general. Whatever you do, you never want to miss out on easy ways to save.
FAQs about the JetBlue/Amazon partnership
How do I get JetBlue points on Amazon?
The first step is signing up for a TrueBlue account with JetBlue. You won’t be able to earn points without one. Next, you’ll have to fly JetBlue, as Amazon purchases will only earn TrueBlue points when you access Amazon during a JetBlue flight. Log into the flight’s Wi-Fi with your TrueBlue account information. Once signed in, use a browser to open Amazon.com and then simply shop. JetBlue warns that purchases made through the Amazon mobile app won’t earn points, so make sure you use a browser.
Can you earn JetBlue points on every Amazon purchase?
No. Some products are not considered eligible for earning points, such as gift cards, alcoholic beverages, most subscriptions, wireless service plans, and anything purchased with an Amazon Business account. You can find a full list here.
Your regular day-to-day Amazon purchases also won’t earn you points. Purchases need to be made through a web browser while you’re on a JetBlue flight. If you have items in your Amazon cart before you start an in-flight purchase, they won’t earn points. So it’s a good idea to empty your cart before you fly.
Are Amazon products more expensive on JetBlue?
The prices you see on Amazon while shopping through the in-flight program are the same you’ll see at home. Products are not more expensive.
Can I use my TrueBlue points to shop on Amazon?
Unfortunately, the point benefits only go one way. You can earn them through Amazon, but you can’t use your points for Amazon purchases. However, you can use them toward future flights, vacation packages, magazine subscriptions, and more. You can see a full list of options here.

JetBlue is one of my favorite airlines and I’ve been trying to earn as many TrueBlue Points as possible since I got my JetBlue Plus Card a few years ago. In my opinion, this is one of the best “insider” ways to earn additional rewards for this program, especially since JetBlue TrueBlue points do not expire.
Earning JetBlue Points For Shopping on Amazon
JetBlue and Amazon teamed up back in 2016 to offer 3 TrueBlue points per dollar spent on Amazon purchases.
There are two ways to earn, outlined below.
Note: you’ll need a TrueBlue account to participate and there are some product exclusions (see below).
1. Make Purchases With Your Unique JetBlue Amazon Link
By using your unique JetBlue link, you can earn 3 points per dollar spent on Amazon purchases.
To access your link, log in to your TrueBlue account and click on ‘Our Partners’ in the left sidebar. You’ll see Amazon listed as a partner; click the ‘Learn More’ button. Finally, click the ‘Shop & Earn’ button which will direct you to Amazon.com
To save time on future purchases, you can bookmark this link in your browser for later.
💡 Important
In order to earn points, the items you purchase must be added to your cart after you click through from your TrueBlue account.
So, the order of operations should be:
→ Click your unique JetBlue link which takes you to the Amazon.com homepage
→ Add items to your cart
→ Checkout and pay as you normally would
= Success! You’re on your way to earning points.
2. Make Purchases Inflight Using JetBlue Fly-Fi
You can also earn 3 points per dollar by making a purchase on Amazon.com using JetBlue’s Fly-Fi service.
If you’re on a JetBlue flight, simply log in to Fly-Fi using your TrueBlue membership and then shop at Amazon.com as you normally would to earn points.
