These 5 Lucky Cities Are Getting a Wegmans (Is Yours One?)

Wegmans is a popular grocery store chain on the East Coast, and a new one could be coming to your city.

The company continues to expand to new locations to help customers save money on groceries, get prepared meals for easy lunches and dinners, or provide seating options for shoppers who want some space to enjoy their favorite Wegmans treats. 

Already this year, at the end of February, Wegmans opened its newest store in Lake Grove, New York, which is the retailer's first location in Long Island. 

Check this list to see if your city is one of the five that will also welcome a new Wegmans. 

• 1590 Rockville Pike

Wegmans is opening a new location in Rockville, which currently doesn't have a Wegmans in the city.

According to Wegman's website, the company plans to open the location on June 25. 

• 675 Connecticut Ave.

The new Wegmans in Norwalk is scheduled to open on July 23. 

The store, which will be 92,000 square feet, has already started to hire new employees. Around 500 positions are expected to be created with the new store.

Pittsburgh will also be home to a new Wegmans this year, which will be the first in the area. It will be located in Cranberry Township on Cool Springs Dr., right next to the UPMC Lemieux Sport Complex. It is slated to be approximately 115,000 square feet. 

The date for its grand opening has yet to be announced to the public. 

Wegmans plans to open a new store in Holly Springs between Raleigh and Durham. Specifically, it will be located between North Carolina Highway 55 and Ralph Stephens Road in Wake County. 

The grand opening has not yet been set, but the store is expected to open in 2027 for shoppers who love quality name brands and Wegmans' in-store labels on products that help them find ways to save money shopping.

Wegmans is opening another new location in North Carolina as it continues to expand in the Tar Heel State.

The company chose Charlotte as the new city for 110,000 square feet of shopping. The store will be located in Mecklenburg County on North Community House Road on the east side of Ballantyne. 

But don't hop in your car just yet to drive over for groceries, as the location is not expected to open until 2026.

Grocery chains like Wegmans can help eliminate some money stress, but you can also find different options that suit your budget.
