Fresh-cut flowers can be one of the simplest ways to add a bit of natural beauty to your space.
The ritual of choosing and purchasing the flowers, carrying them home, and arranging them is self-care all on its own. Knowing you can re-imagine your space every so often with a new bouquet — and that you can do it on a budget — is the true magic.
You know you can save money on groceries at your favorite supermarkets, but you might be missing out on some great floral departments. Luckily, there are a variety of stores with locations nationwide that have abundant floral departments and dirt-cheap prices.
Editor’s note: Prices are subject to change and may vary by location.

Trader Joe’s
Price: $6.99
Since I was in college, Trader Joe’s has been THE spot nationwide for peonies. As soon as they hit the shelves, they are available in abundance. They’re gorgeous, there are so many color variations, and the price point is unbeatable at $8.99 for a bunch.
For this to still be true some 15 years later means Trader Joe’s must be sourcing their flowers correctly.
Trader Joe’s offers something many storefronts do not, in that they supply flowers in big and small amounts, bundles, and some as single stems, so you can build your own bouquet easily for a modest price.
This year, simple spring bundles were just $6.99. Hydrangea three-stems are $6.99, alstroemeria bundles are available for $4.99, and a dozen red roses are $9.99.
For reference, some of their largest bouquets come in at between $12.99 and $19.99.
Ralph’s
Price: $5
Ralph’s is not just a bargain grocery store. Many locations have pretty stacked floral departments. Six-stem alstroemeria are $5. Nine-stem bouquets, bunches of carnations, lilies, and alstroemeria are $7. Pre-arranged 12-stem bouquets start at just $12.
Wegman’s
Price: $6
Surprisingly, Wegman’s has a variety of great options, available for pickup when ordered online or over the phone, as well as in person.
Their 10-stem carnations and alstroemeria are $6. Their sunflowers are slightly overpriced at $6 each, but they are beautiful and maybe worth the price for a summertime splurge.
They have a mini carnation arrangement for $7, gerbera daisies, a field mix bouquet or three-count hydrangea for $8, and two rose lilies for $9.
For $10, you can nab a big bunch of alstroemeria rainbow. Vase arrangements and roses start at just $12 and are pretty high quality for the price.
Get a protection plan on all your appliances
Did you know if your air conditioner stops working, your homeowner’s insurance won’t cover it? Same with plumbing, electrical issues, appliances, and more.
Whether or not you’re a new homeowner, a home warranty from Choice Home Warranty could pick up the slack where insurance falls short and protect you against surprise expenses. If a covered system in your home breaks, you can call their hotline 24/7 to get it repaired.
For a limited time, you can get your first month free with a Single Payment home warranty plan.
ShopRite
Price: $5.69
Right now, ShopRite is offering an array of floral arrangements regularly priced at $5.69 for just $5. This includes bunches assorted by color, fresh-cut sunflowers, mini carnation bunches, daisies, and more.
That very fair price of $5.69 seems to be the norm for many of the beautiful bouquets at ShopRite. Roses and bigger arrangements start at $9.99.
Target
Price: $8
Target carries some pretty flowers, though they aren’t known for their variety or for purchasing locally. However, some stores carry a 10-stem tri-color rose bouquet for $8. This is an option on the app when roses are in season.
If you walk into a Target grocery section now, you will most likely find a small array of bright bouquets averaging a price of $12.99 - $15.99 and beyond.
Trending Stories
Walmart
Price: $4.97
Similar to Target’s rose bouquet, Walmart offers a 12-stem rose option and an 11-stem mixed-flower arrangement for $9.97.
This low price point and these roses have better availability throughout the year. But that’s not all Walmart offers, and they have an even better deal, depending on availability.
Walmart sells a mini bouquet, an eight-stem carnation bouquet, a three-stem lily arrangement, and a sunflower bouquet, all priced at $4.97.
Sam’s Club
Price: $13.87
Since Walmart is on the list, it should come as no surprise that Sam’s Club — another company under the same brand umbrella — is also a major budget floral distributor.
However, they're available largely in bulk so I wouldn’t expect to spend less than $10 on a smaller bouquet like at other shopping locations.
Need 24 roses? You’ll pay just $13.87. A premium non-rose jumbo bouquet is $15.87, and bigger assortments are around $19.76 and up.
Aldi
Price: $7.99
I include Aldi last on the list because of one thing: their stock is super limited. While they often have great sales on very specific floral items throughout the growing season, floral bouquets are usually in limited supply.
The quality of these bouquets is also very dependent on how quickly you get them, as their shelf life seems more limited at Aldi.
Houseplants and other floral options are always a limited find. Those and any unique floral arrangements will be gone within the first few hours after being stocked if the right plant people post about it online.
Bottom line
The prices of flowers at these stores make a whimsical corner in your life more accessible or a small gift to a friend more appealing.
You can save money on essentials and pick up a bouquet of whimsy while you’re at it. Play with the greenery as a form of art and joy. It will be rewarding.
